Vara is best known as a photographer, but she is also a professional graphic designer and re-touch artist. She began in the arts as an illustrator and painter, and enjoys it as a hobby to this day. On rare occasions she models for other very talented photographers. She has attended Savannah College of Art and Design on scholarship, and later graduated with a BFA at the Academy of Art in San Francisco. Vara is currently residing in Houston.
